Pakistan’s Interior Minister, CM Gandapur Discuss Security Situation in KP

PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur held an important meeting at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar on Thursday. 

During the meeting, they discussed the security and law and order situation in the Northwest province, where terror incidents frequently occur. 

The Interior Minister and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur agreed to enhance coordination between federal and provincial authorities to enforce laws aimed at bolstering peace and security in the province.

They strongly condemned recent attacks targeting Chinese nationals and expressed solidarity with the Chinese government and the families of the victims.

During the meeting, it was decided to swiftly bring the perpetrators of these attacks to justice and to intensify efforts to eradicate terrorism. Ali Amin Gandapur reiterated that peace and security remain top priorities for the provincial government, with the protection of life and property being paramount.

He emphasized plans to bolster the capabilities of the police and other law enforcement agencies in the province, outlining a comprehensive strategy to achieve these objectives. Gandapur highlighted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s significant role in the fight against terrorism, noting its considerable impact on the region.
