Pakistan’s PM Reiterates Resolve to Equip Youth with Modern Education, Vocational Training

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday expressed the government’s commitment to empower the youth with modern knowledge and vocational training to make them a valuable asset for the nation.

He was addressing the ‘Girls in ICT’ event organized in Islamabad in connection with the International Day of Information and Communication Technology for Girls.

The Prime Minister said that technology will lead us to a bright future and we will promote budding entrepreneurs so they can show their skills globally and earn the much-needed foreign reserves for the country.

The PM expressed satisfaction that a large number of females are associated with tech-related fields.

Government’s Policies for Youth

Earlier, Minister of State for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja underlined different policies and initiatives of the government for the betterment of youth, particularly in the IT sector.

She said that the government was focused on facilitating young innovators and freelancers to enable them to grow their businesses and give them international access.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also distributed commendation certificates among girls and women for their services in the IT sector.
