BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan: President Sadyr Japarov met with Wang Tongjun, Vice General Manager of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., to discuss the implementation mechanism of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project.
The meeting resulted in mutual understanding between the two countries regarding the project’s execution.
President Japarov expressed satisfaction with the agreement on the implementation mechanism, emphasizing that the project will proceed under the Build-Operate-Transfer model through the establishment of a joint design company involving railway companies from all three countries.
Wang Tongjun affirmed China State Railway Group’s commitment to expediting the development and approval of the project’s feasibility study, as well as the signing of the relevant agreement. He highlighted the readiness of state railway corporations to spearhead the project’s execution, emphasizing the formation of a highly experienced team for this purpose.
