Islamabad: In a surprising move, the winning captain of Karachi Kings in the PSL 5th Edition and all-rounder Imad Wasim joined Islamabad United for the 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) that begins on February 8, 2024. The player trade window of the 9th edition also moved Hasan Ali to Islamabad United.
Imad Wasim, who played as skipper of Karachi Kings, would now represent Islamabad United in the Platinum category, while Hasan Ali, who played for Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United, would move to Karachi Kings in the Diamond category.

Meanwhile, Karachi Kings have received Islamabad United’s first-round silver pick in exchange for their second-round silver pick.
The successful relegation requests from franchisees before the HBL PSL 9, 2024, Player Draft comprising Lahore Qalandars’ Mirza Tahir Baig, Islamabad United’s Rumman Raees, and Mir Hamza from Karachi Kings (all Gold to Silver).
