ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress and singer Rabi Pirzada has stirred controversy within the entertainment industry by coming to the defense of fellow actor Adnan Siddiqui, who recently faced backlash for his disparaging comments about women.
During a recent appearance on a TV show, Adnan Siddiqui drew widespread criticism for likening women to houseflies, a comparison deemed derogatory and offensive. Despite Siddiqui issuing an apology in response to the backlash, his remarks continued to spark debate and controversy.
However, Rabi Pirzada has emerged as an unexpected supporter of Siddiqui, suggesting that his comments may have been influenced by personal experiences. Pirzada recounted instances of female fans exhibiting aggressive behavior towards male celebrities at public events, citing examples involving stars like Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar. Pirzada proposed that such encounters could have influenced Siddiqui’s analogy between women and houseflies.
