Saudi Arabia and Iranian High-level Delegations’ Visits to Boost Pakistan’s Economy: PM

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the visits of high-level delegations of Saudi Arabia and Iran will strengthen country’s economy and foreign investment.

The Prime Minister was addressing a special meeting in Karachi today, which was attended by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and members of the provincial cabinet.

During the meeting held at CM House, the premier assured Murad Ali Shah of the centre’s full support in addressing provincial concerns.

Emphasizing collaboration, the premier pledged solidarity, affirming a united front for the advancement of Pakistan.

The assurance followed CM Murad’s grievances over Sindh’s exclusion from recent development initiatives by the federal government. Highlighting the neglect, CM Murad underscored the need for concerted efforts to address longstanding issues.

During the session, various matters were deliberated upon, with Murad Ali Shah expressing optimism that Sindh’s challenges would receive due attention under the prime minister’s leadership.

The chief minister outlined the aftermath of the 2022 floods, stressing the importance of prompt action and equitable resource allocation. He lamented the shortfall in federal assistance for vital projects, citing examples of unmet financial commitments.

In response, the prime minister reiterated his commitment to resolving Sindh’s issues promptly and collaboratively. The meeting, attended by federal and provincial ministers, underscored a shared determination to address challenges and foster progress.
