Sonia Shamroz Makes History as First Female AIG Establishment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police

PESHAWAR: Sonia Shamroz, celebrated as the woman to clinch the International Association of Women Police Award, adds another milestone to her illustrious career. Her recent appointment as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Establishment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa marks a historic moment as she becomes the first woman to hold this esteemed position.

Hailing from Abbottabad district, Sonia Shamroz has an impressive track record, having served in various capacities such as DPO Chitral and DPO Battagram since joining the police service in 2013. Throughout her tenure, she has exhibited dedication and competence, earning recognition for her outstanding contributions.

Reflecting on her groundbreaking achievement, Shamroz highlighted the increasing responsibilities entrusted to female officers in the province, emphasizing the strides made towards gender equality within the police force.
