IPOH: Pakistan’s match against New Zealand has ended in a 1-1 draw today during the current Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024 in Ipoh, Malaysia, local media reported on Friday.
Pakistani side had already qualified for the final following their win against Canada on Wednesday. The Green Shirts will play final match against Japan on Saturday. The match has remained goalless till half-time since the two sides were not able to capitalize their chances.
New Zealand side took the lead in the 35th minute of the match with a field goal by Luke Holmes but Pakistan scored in the eight minutes later. Pakistan have remained unbeaten during the round-robin phase of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup with 3 wins and two draws in five games. They only dropped points in matches against New Zealand and Japan.
