LONDON: Taylor Swift maintains her stronghold on the global music scene, clinching the title of the most-streamed artist both in the UK and worldwide according to Spotify Wrapped 2023, boasting an impressive 26.1 billion worldwide streams.
With a massive fan base exceeding 108 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform, the 33-year-old pop sensation’s achievement marks a consecutive triumph, having also claimed the top spot in the UK in 2022.
In addition to her Spotify dominance, Taylor’s financial success this year is noteworthy, with estimates indicating that her Eras Tour has generated nearly $5 billion in consumer spending during its run in the United States.
Remarkably, only two UK artists, Drake and The Weeknd, joined Taylor in the top five most-streamed artists in the country.
While Taylor continued to reign as the UK’s most-listened-to artist, she also secured the top spot globally, breaking a three-year streak where Bad Bunny held the global crown.
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny secured the second position globally with his 2023 most-streamed album, Un Verano Sin Ti, accumulating an impressive 4.5 billion streams since January 1.
