Ingredients;

Eggs 5, caster sugar 3/4 cup, vanilla essence 1 tsp, all-purpose flour 150 g, baking powder 1 tsp

Ingredients for Strawberry Sauce;

Water 1 ½ cup, caster sugar 100 g, strawberries (Sliced) 2 cups

Ingredients for Assembling;

Whipping cream 1 ½ pack, prepared sponge, sugar syrup as required, and strawberry slices as required

Directions;

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, caster sugar, and vanilla essence. Beat the mixture until it becomes creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour and baking powder, ensuring they are well mixed.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, folding gently until no lumps remain.
  4. Divide the batter equally among 4 small cake pans. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool to room temperature. Then, carefully remove the cakes from the pans and set them aside.
  6. Heat water, caster sugar, and strawberries in a pan. Cook until the strawberries soften.
  7. Blend the strawberries into a sauce using a hand mixer. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
  8. In another bowl, whip the whipping cream until it becomes fluffy. Note: Ensure the cream has been chilled overnight in the fridge before whipping. Do not freeze the cream, as it won’t whip properly after being frozen.
  9. Prepare the sponge by removing any uneven tops and cutting it into 3 discs. Drizzle sugar syrup over one disc. Spread whipped cream and strawberry sauce over it. Place another disc on top and repeat the layers of whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and sliced strawberries. Repeat this step for the remaining layers.
