ISLAMABAD: Get ready to savour the exquisite flavours of Watalappan recipe.

Ingredients:

5-6 green cardamom pods

1/2 cup water

1 ½ cups jaggery

1 cup milk

5 eggs

Cashew nuts, as needed

Instructions:

In a pan, gently heat the green cardamom until aromatic.

Add water and jaggery to the pan, and cook until the jaggery caramelizes.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl, then stir in the milk. Next, beat in the eggs and incorporate the cashew nuts.

Pour the mixture into a baking pan, covering it with aluminum foil.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes.

Once baked, remove from the oven, remove from the baking pan, and garnish with additional cashew nuts. Your delicious Watalappan is now ready to be enjoyed!
