ANF Seizes 309.267kg Drugs Worth Us$ 6.374m In Nationwide Raids

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan has seized 309.267 kilograms (kgs) of drugs worth US$ 6.374m internationally.

The drugs were seized in nationwide raids in the recent weeks, according to the ANF officials. The ANF also detained 35 individuals, including 3 women and also impounded 12 vehicles during the 26 counter-narcotics operations across the country. The seized drugs comprised of 44.400kgs of Opium, 12.971kgs of Heroin, 248.606kgs of Hashish and 3.290kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice). 

Details:

The ANF North recovered 136.385kgs of drugs in 7 operations, arrested 15 individuals involved in drug smuggling, including 3 women and also seized 3 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised 44.400kgs of Opium, 0.530kgs of Heroin and 91.455Kgs of Hashish.

The ANF KPK recovered 79.04kgs of drugs in 6 operations, arrested 6 individuals involved in drug trafficking and seized 3 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised of 77.550kgs of Hashish and 1.490kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice).   

The ANF Sindh recovered 48.541Kgs of drugs in 5 operations, apprehended 7 individuals involved in drug smuggling and seized 4 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised of 2.041Kgs of Heroin, 44.700Kgs of Hashish and 1.800Kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice). The ANF Balochistan recovered 32Kgs of Hashish in 3 operations, while arrested 3 individuals accused of drug smuggling.

The Punjab chapter recovered 13.301Kgs of drugs in 5 operations and also arrested 4 individuals over drug smuggling and seized 2 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised of 10.400Kgs of Heroin and 2.901Kgs of Hashish. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 (Amended 2022) and further investigations are underway, said the officials.
