NEW YORK: In the latest polls released on Monday, American professional athlete Caitlin Clark was crowned the world’s best basketball player, earning admiration from millions of fans worldwide for her exceptional skills in the sport.

Conducted by The Athletics under the name of the anonymous NBA players poll, these polls revealed that the former star of the Iowa women’s basketball team has a fan base that extends beyond Nike and the Hawkeyes.

The Indiana Fever’s forward was voted by the public as their most-liked non-NBA player, with the 22-year-old sportswoman securing the second position with 6.1% of the votes, following Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson who garnered 13% of votes.

“She’s unreal,” commented one NBA player about Clark, as quoted by Hawk Central. “I’m excited to see how her journey pans out and what she does for the women’s game.”
