China-Pakistan Relationship Remains Source of Peace and Stability in the Region: Ambassador Hashmi

BEIJING: Pakistan cherishes its profound and enduring friendship with China, rooted in shared values of mutual respect, trust, and solidarity, remarked Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi.

He emphasized the commitment to fortify strategic trust and strengthen ties across various domains, affirming the vision of a robust China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future.

Speaking at an event commemorating Pakistan’s 84th National Day in Beijing, Ambassador Hashmi underscored the ironclad bond between the two nations, which has grown from strength to strength over time.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong echoed these sentiments, highlighting the enduring nature of the friendship and expressing China’s support for Pakistan’s social stability and economic prosperity.

Highlighting the resilience of the Pakistan-China relationship, Hashmi emphasized their solidarity in both good and challenging times, emphasizing their role as a source of peace and stability in the region. He lauded the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a shining example of win-win cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Ambassador Hashmi paid tribute to Pakistan’s Founding Fathers, particularly Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and celebrated the country’s progress across various fields. He also commended Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives for promoting peace and development globally.

The event, attended by senior Chinese officials, ambassadors, diplomats, Pakistani community members, and representatives of Chinese enterprises, showcased the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan.

A performance by Chinese and Pakistani children symbolized the enduring friendship between the two countries, underscoring the depth of their bond.
