ISLAMABAD: The ICC T20I World Cup 2024 Trophy was unveiled at the Shakarparian National Park in Islamabad on Thursday, captivating enthusiastic fans eager to catch a glimpse of the prestigious prize. The unveiling marked the beginning of a three-day tour across Pakistan, symbolizing hope and unity as it brings together cricket enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds.

Following its debut in Islamabad, the trophy will embark on a journey to Abbottabad, providing fans in the city with an opportunity to gather and marvel at its sleek and shimmering silver design. Lahore, renowned as the heart of cricketing culture in Pakistan, will serve as the trophy’s final destination. At the iconic Gaddafi Stadium, the trophy will take center stage during the last T20 International match between Pakistan and New Zealand on Saturday, captivating spectators and igniting aspirations of lifting the coveted prize.

The presence of the trophy serves as a poignant reminder that with perseverance and dedication, dreams of achieving sporting greatness can indeed become a reality. The stage is set for the main event, the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in the USA and West Indies from June 2 to 29.

During its tour of Pakistan, the trophy has been captured in iconic locations, including outside the Parliament House and the magnificent Faisal Mosque. This journey underscores the power of cricket to unite and inspire fans not only within Pakistan but also across the globe.

Earlier, officials from the PCB welcomed the trophy and the ICC delegation, after the trophy reached Pakistan. Earlier the trophy was expected to reach Pakistan by the end of April.
