Jan Achakzai Condemns Mastung Blast, Vows Accountability

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Balochistan Minister for Information and Public Relations Jan Achakzai has condemned the tragic blast in Mastung and assured that those responsible will be held accountable swiftly. He also announced that the Balochistan government has declared a three-day official mourning period.

In a private news channel conversation, Achakzai expressed that the suicide bomb blast in Mastung deeply saddens the Balochistan government.

He mentioned that those critically injured are being transported to Quetta, and emergency measures have been implemented across the city’s hospitals.

The provincial government is committed to covering all expenses related to the injured individuals’ medical treatment, ensuring they receive the highest quality care.

Probe into blast launches

Achakzai strongly condemned the blast and reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorists. He noted that security forces swiftly cordoned off the blast site and initiated an investigation following the rescue and hospitalization of the injured and deceased.

Regarding potential external elements involved, Achakzai stated that certain forces seek to create instability through such attacks to achieve their malicious objectives. However, he emphasized that these anti-state elements would not be allowed to succeed, although he refrained from naming any specific group.

Achakzai asserted that those engaged in acts of terrorism do not deserve any leniency, emphasizing the need to utilize all available resources to apprehend those responsible and ensure they face justice.
