KP Minister Hails Pakistan-China Friendship During China Window Visit

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah on Wednesday said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is exemplary worldwide. He said this during his visit to China Window, a Chinese cultural center in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Minister Shah attributed the strong Pakistan-China ties to the mutual trust and support both nations extend to each other, particularly during challenging times. On this occasion, he visited various galleries of China Window, and signed the friendship wall and shared his thoughts in the guest book.

The health minister also praised the robust economic and cultural relations between the two countries, highlighting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a significant milestone for Pakistan’s economic development. Minister Shah noted that the establishment of the Rashkai Economic Zone under CPEC would generate over two hundred thousand job opportunities and boost exports to Central Asian countries, including Afghanistan.

Addressing concerns about security, Minister Shah assured that the provincial government and security agencies are dedicated to maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety of all foreigners, including Chinese nationals. He reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s founder chairman, Imran Khan, to fostering stronger ties with China, despite attempts by certain quarters to sow discord.

Regarding the Chinese cultural center in Peshawar, Minister Shah commended China Window for facilitating closer bonds between the people of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with their Chinese counterparts. He praised the center’s Chinese language teaching program and expressed gratitude for its efforts in promoting friendship between the two nations.

Minister Shah assured that the provincial government remains committed to enhancing communication and cooperation in Pakistan-China relations at the grassroots level.

Earlier, he was briefed about China Window’s significant role in fostering Pakistan-China friendship, with over two hundred thousand visitors have visited the center in a short span.
