CALIFORNIA: Linda Yaccarino, the new Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, has assumed work almost a month after Elon Musk assigned her the top at the social media company.
“It happened — the first day in the books! ” Yaccarino tweeted, without providing any further details.
Twitter’s new CEO
The former advertising chief at NBCUniversal, Linda Yaccarino has taked over the role at Twitter at a time when the social media platform is trying to reverse a plunge in revenue from advertisements.
Elon Musk, who has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since his $44 billion buyout of Twitter last October, earlier said that Linda Yaccarino would help build an “everything app”.
Former NBCUniversal executive Joe Benarroch also joined Twitter on Monday. He previously oversee communication strategy for advertising and partnerships division of the Comcasr-owned company, and reported to Yaccarino, before joining Twitter.
