Meet Leopard Cubs Sultan and Nilu

ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of Wildlife Management Reena Saeed has said that it had rescued two leopard cubs found in the region’s hilly terrain of Jabri, Haripur. In a press conference in Islamabad, she shed light on the recent developments, revealing the two-month-old leopard cubs were rescued amidst reports of their mother’s death. Saeed said that the leopards have been named Sultan and Nilu respectively.

Talking about the rescue operation, she said that the department had received information about the presence of two common leopard cubs in the hilly areas of Jabbri. “In light of the urgency of the matter and upon the request of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife authorities, the leopard cubs were swiftly relocated to the Islamabad Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center,” she added.

Providing insights into the condition of the rescued animals, Saeed highlighted that the cubs had undergone thorough medical examinations and were likely to receive vaccinations today.
