Motorway Closures and Safety Measures Amidst Foggy Conditions and Islamabad Huge Foggy

ISLAMABAD: Motorway users have been advised of safety measures due to foggy conditions in different areas of the country Wednesday morning.

The motorway sections including M1 Motorway: Peshawar to Islamabad; Swat Expressway: Col Sher Khan to Ismaila; M2 Motorway: Beside Lahore, from Islamabad to Bilkser; Beside Islamabad: Kot Momin to Islamabad; Hazara Expressway: Burhan to Jhari Kis; M14 Motorway: Hukla to Dawood Khel Interchange has been closed for all kind of traffic due to foggy conditions.

According to the Spokesperson for Motorway Police, the closures aimed to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of motorway users’ lives and property. Citizens have been urged to refrain from unnecessary travel during foggy hours, complete journeys in daylight, and reach destinations before fog onset.

To enhance safety, drivers have been advised to use fog lights, avoid speeding, and maintain a longer -than-usual distance from the vehicle ahead. Motorway Police Helpline 130 provides pre-journey information, and updates are available on the official social media account of the National Highways and Motorway Police.
