NDMA Warns of Stormy Rain Spell Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Met office has forecast rains with gusty winds and stormy rains from today (Thursday) till April 29 in different parts of the country.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), there is a risk of flooding in Balochistan including rain-fed rivers including Harnai, Nushki, Pishin and Zhob in the wake of stormy rains.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, there is a risk of flooding in the local rivers of Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra and Kohistan, Murree, Guliat, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and landslide concerns have also been expressed in Gilgit-Baltistan region.

PDM has also instructed the farmers to be careful in planning wheat harvesting given bad weather conditions.

There has also been a risk of floods and landslides in Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Murree and Guliyat.
