ISLAMABAD: The technical fault at the Gaddu Power Plant, the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) successfully addressed the issue by replacing the affected circuit breaker at the Gaddu Switchyard.

The outage, attributed to heavy fog, impacted NTDC’s 500 KV and 220 KV transmission lines in Gaddu.

The NTDC deployed additional staff to expedite the replacement of the circuit breaker, ensuring a swift resolution to the power interruption. The affected pole of the 500 KV circuit breaker in the switchyard was promptly isolated, preventing further disruptions.

As part of the restoration efforts, the 500 KV Gaddu-Muzaffargarh transmission line was energized, contributing to the stabilization of the power supply. Despite the technical fault, two other circuit breakers in the switchyard remained operational, showcasing the efforts of NTDC’s infrastructure.

This incident underscores the challenges posed by adverse weather conditions, such as heavy fog, in the efficient operation of power facilities. The NTDC’s response and effective resolution highlight the organization’s commitment to maintaining a reliable and robust energy transmission system.

However, the electricity supply will resume as all check are done.
