ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has disbursed over 64 billion rupees among more than 61,00,000 beneficiaries from across Pakistan under the Benazir Kafaalat scheme.

The disbursement of the quarterly tranche (January-March) of 10,500 rupees of the Benazir Kafaalat scheme is continued across the country smoothly.

The payment process is continued across the country, including Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), simultaneously to disburse the increased payment of 10,500 rupees per household among over 9 million registered beneficiary families.

The beneficiaries have been advised to collect their full payment through the agent/representative of their nearest designated bank and contact the nearest Tehsil offices or the toll-free number 080026477 in case of any deduction.

Besides Benazir Kafaalat stipend payments, the disbursement of education stipends is also underway across the country. In some areas, the special Ramzan grant is also being given to the beneficiaries.

Special Control Room for Benazir Kafaalat Scheme

The special control room has been set up in the BISP headquarters to address the beneficiaries’ complaints promptly.

The staff has been appointed to monitor the process of payment disbursement and take immediate measures against the agents responsible for deductions from the beneficiary’s payments.

The BISP is currently supporting 9.3 million deserving families and acting as a lifeline for those facing economic challenges. The Unconditional Cash Transfers Programme, also known as the “Benazir Kafaalat Programme,” is the core initiative of BISP and was started in 2008.
