ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar on Saturday strongly condemned a malign campaign targeting the nation’s martyrs.

He denounced the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for mocking the sacrifices of these heroes. Tarar said that the sacrifices made by martyrs are unforgettable, and there will be no compromise on their honor and dignity.

Regarding the PTI, Tarar criticized the party for its reliance on foreign funding, stating, “The smear campaign clearly suggests why the PTI is relying on foreign funding.”

Tarar also accused the PTI of seeking to please terrorists and enemies of the country while neglecting national interests and the sacrifices of martyrs.

He pointed out the PTI’s detrimental impact on the country’s economy through protests outside the International Monetary Fund (IMF) office.

In reference to the events of May 9, Tarar mentioned the attacks on military installations, underlining the PTI’s lack of concern for national security and the welfare of the country’s defenders.
