ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed Pakistan’s readiness to foster friendly relations with neighboring countries, including India, during discussions with the media on Wednesday.

Asif commended the Taliban for their ability to overcome colonial powers without modern equipment, a feat he found commendable.

Acknowledging that Pakistan’s relationship with Afghanistan is currently less than ideal, Asif emphasized the need to enhance relations with Afghanistan through collaborative efforts.

The federal minister advocated for the United States to impose a ban on Israel instead of Pakistan, citing ongoing and unchecked acts of genocide in Gaza as justification for his stance.

Earlier today, the business community urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to extend gestures of goodwill to neighboring countries like India and political opponent Imran Khan.
