Pakistani Players to Take Part in Asian Games with High Spirit: DG Sport Board

ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Shoaib Khoso has said that despite several challenges, he was still optimistic about Pakistani players taking part in the Asian Games to bring name and fame to the country. Asian Games will commence from the 23rd of this month in China till the 8th of October, where over 150 players and officials from Pakistan are taking part.

DG Sports Board said this while talking to CEO WENews, Amjaz Aziz Malik here on Wednesday, adding that no doubt Pakistani players’ performance was not up to the mark in the past, however, he believes the players have worked hard and would participate in the games with new Vigor and zeal.

Players Performance in Asian Games

He further said that before leaving for China, the concerned departments and federations conducted a number of selection sessions and training camps to select the best players for the Asian Games. He also expressed his happiness over the fine beginning of Pakistan’s Volleyball Team while beating Magnolia in the first contest.

Shoaib Khoso also informed that to motivate and encourage the players, the Secretary Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), would also leave for China for a brief period.

On the occasion, Amjad Aziz Malik presented a copy of Asia & Sports Journalists Magazine to Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Shoaib Khoso.
