ISLAMABAD: Posters have appeared in Srinagar and other areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), urging people to resist the actions of the BJP-led Indian government, which violate UN resolutions on Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, these posters, put up by Nawjawanan-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir, condemn the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A by the Modi regime, as well as its efforts to alter the demographics of the territory by granting domicile certificates to non-Kashmiri Hindus.

The posters emphasize that elections cannot replace the UN-granted plebiscite and highlight BJP/RSS policies aimed at changing the demographic composition of the region and displacing Kashmiris from their land. They warn against selling property, including land, to non-Kashmiri Hindutva forces, drawing parallels with the struggles of Palestinians facing similar challenges.

Accusing the Indian government of violating UN resolutions through military aggression, the posters denounce the resettlement of outsiders in Jammu and the dominance of non-locals in government services. They also criticize the allocation of land to the Indian state of Maharashtra in Budgam, calling it a dangerous move against Kashmir.

The posters call for resistance against India’s “legal and cultural terrorism,” citing actions such as renaming government buildings and suppressing political and media freedoms as threats to the identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
