Russian Ambassador and Pakistani Commerce Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert Khorev, and Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, recently convened to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral trade relations.

Minister Jam Kamal emphasized the importance of exploring new trade routes to strengthen connectivity between the two countries.

He also lauded the successful initiation of Kino exports to Russia via road transport, expressing optimism about further expanding trade in this sector.

Recognizing Russia’s vast market potential, Minister Jam Kamal highlighted the opportunities it presents for Pakistani exporters. Ambassador Khorev extended an invitation for Minister Jam Kamal to attend upcoming trade exhibitions in April and July.

Moreover, in a bid to diversify trade, the Ambassador proposed the export of Halal meat from Pakistan to Russia. Concerns regarding visa issues faced by Pakistani truck drivers were also addressed during the meeting.

Additionally, Ambassador Khorev conveyed Russia’s interest in hosting the 9th session of the Inter Governmental Commission (IGC) in Moscow at the earliest opportunity.
