ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Shazia Marri said on Monday that the government should take its allies on board over the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement.

Expressing her thoughts, Marri fired a broadside at the political opponents, stating that it was in the past that one person used to talk about opting for suicide rather than approaching IMF.

He approached the IMF and agreed on all the conditions imposed by it, Shazia Marri said while referring to Imran Khan.

She said that there is no possibility of making a change in the NFC Award.

A few days back, PPP leader Nasir Hussain Shah also criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

He said that the PTI founder’s decision to write a letter to the IMF to stop the financial assistance to Pakistan shows his mentality.

This action is tantamount to deliberately dragging Pakistan’s economy to the backfoot. The PTI only wants anarchy and unrest in the country, Nasir Shah said.

He added that the PTI has shown irresponsibility by opting to write a letter to the IMF.
