Turkmen Ambassador Meets Pakistani PM, Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed felicitations from the Turkmen leadership to Prime Minister Sharif on his re-election.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude for the congratulatory messages from Turkmen President Serdar Berdimohamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimohamedov, reminiscing on past meetings with them and expressing eagerness for future engagements.

Both parties reaffirmed the enduring cultural and historical ties between Pakistan and Turkmenistan, emphasizing the need to bolster bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, energy, and connectivity.

They also highlighted the importance of collaboration on regional initiatives and underscored the necessity for increased high-level exchanges and regular meetings of bilateral institutional mechanisms.

The Turkmen Ambassador briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing bilateral activities, expressing appreciation for the support received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government departments in fulfilling his diplomatic duties.
