Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Meets Jam Kamal, Discusses Relations with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Aybek Arif Usmanov on Friday called on Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and discussed how to elevate economic relations between the two countries.

Usmanov lauded Jam Kamal’s experience in politics and expressed confidence in his ability to enhance bilateral trade.

Stressing the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, Usmanov stressed the necessity of bolstering economic cooperation across different sectors through B2B and G2G agreements.

He said that Uzbekistan’s foreign minister and deputy trade secretary would also to visit Pakistan soon for B2B and G2G discussions aimed at boosting trade.

Potentials for Pakistan, Uzbekistan

Underlining the potential in sectors like pharmaceuticals, building materials, agriculture, textiles, and leather, Usmanov highlighted the importance of tapping into these opportunities.

Jam Kamal echoed the sentiment, acknowledging the untapped potential between the two nations and stressing the need for improved connectivity and new trade routes to enhance trade volume.

Both pledged for close coordination to facilitate the business community from both countries.
