ISLAMABAD: The governments of Pakistan and Qatar have inked multiple agreements and letters of intent with leading Qatari companies, aimed at bolstering job prospects for Pakistani workers in Qatar.

APP reported that the signing of these agreements with prominent Qatari firms such as Ali Bin Ali Holding W.L.L, Sheikh Jabor Bin Mansour Bin Jabor Bin Jassim Al Thani (JMJ) Holding, Tabeeb Care Medical Services, and Al Rawnaq International Commercial Projects signifies a significant step in fortifying bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar in the realm of human resource development.

Furthermore, the Pakistani delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with Hamad Saleh Al Qamra, Chairman of Al Qamra Holding, focusing on the recruitment of Pakistani manpower for various projects undertaken by the company.

Additionally, the delegation toured the View Hospital, a segment of Elegancia Health Care, where recruitment of Pakistani health professionals is underway following a recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) between and the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) of Pakistan and Elegancia Health Care.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Malik has underscored Pakistan’s potential as a major manpower exporter and elaborated on the government’s endeavors to streamline this process through reputable recruitment agencies, skill enhancement programs, and addressing the requirements of foreign employers.

The CEOs of Qatari companies expressed satisfaction with the performance of Pakistani workers and their readiness to increase the Pakistani workforce within their organizations, in compliance with Qatar’s regulatory framework. The discussions also highlighted the escalating demand for skilled labor across various sectors including services, maintenance, hospitality, and construction, spurred by Qatar’s extensive infrastructural development initiatives.

These accords and deliberations represent a significant step towards amplifying the presence of Pakistani workers in Qatar, fostering mutual economic advancement, and cementing stronger bilateral ties.
