KP Cabinet Approves Eid Package for Deserving People

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has approved an Eid package providing ten thousand rupees in cash for deserving people in the province, as reported by a local news channel.

In addition to this, the cabinet has also allocated Rs 7.6 billion rupees for the procurement of vehicles and security equipment for the Police in the merged districts. These decisions were made during a cabinet meeting chaired by provincial Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Peshawar today.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Information Technology Board and a Special Technology Zone Authority was endorsed for the establishment of Pakistan Digital City. Furthermore, the cabinet agreed on regulations for the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer and members of the Executive Committee of the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized that restoring law and order in the province is a top priority for his government. He mentioned that the implementation of the plan for this purpose will commence soon, highlighting the importance of a conducive law and order situation for regional progress. He also emphasized measures to ensure the safety of police and other law enforcement personnel.

The chief minister also mentioned that the government has reinstated the ‘health card’ facility and expressed the need to enhance treatment facilities in public hospitals. He expressed optimism that with improved facilities, people will not have to rely on private hospitals, as public hospitals will provide all necessary services.
