OIC Chief, Pakistan Envoy Discuss Prospects of Cooperation

JEDDAH: Syed Mohammad Fawad Sher, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has met with OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha.

According to a news release issued by the OIC on Tuesday, the meeting took place at the General Secretariat’s OIC headquarters in Jeddah and covered a range of issues on the OIC’s agenda and potential areas of collaboration with Pakistan.

“Grateful to meet H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the OIC. discussed issues of shared interest, such as women’s rights, Muslim minorities, Palestine, Kashmir, Islamophobia, etc.” the envoy posted on his X account.

He said that the OIC secretary general expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s active participation in the organization and the desire to further strengthen ties. —APP
