LAHORE: Multan Sultans claimed victory with a commanding lead of 60 runs, as the struggling Lahore Qalandars failed to chase down the target of 215 runs set by the Sultans. Lahore Qalandars endured their sixth consecutive defeat in Pakistan Super League 9th season (PSL-9).

Throughout the match, Lahore Qalandars faced challenges in both their bowling and fielding departments. Despite Shaheen Shah Afridi’s contribution of two wickets, the team’s bowling lacked consistency, allowing Multan Sultans to accumulate a substantial score.

Expressing his disappointment after the sixth defeat, the team coach Aaqib Javed highlighted the team’s struggle to find the right balance and support for key players like Shaheen Shah Afridi. He also lamented the absence of Abdullah Shafiq, which has weakened the Qalandars’ lineup and affected their performance.

With six losses in the PSL 9 season so far, the prospects of a turnaround for the Lahore Qalandars appear dim.
