Recipe of Fish Curry

Islamabad: Fish curry, a beloved dish celebrated for its infusion of coastal flavours, stands as a culinary cornerstone across Asia and beyond. Fish is the most preferred dish and curry enhances the taste and makes it more delicious.

Ingredients:

500g Fish

Salt (as required)

1 tbsp Ajwain

1 cup Vinegar

4 tbsp Cooking oil

½ Onion

Whole hot spices (as needed)

1 tsp Cumin

2 Green chillies

1 ½ tbsp of Ginger & Garlic Paste

3 pieces Tomato Puree

2 tbsp Yogurt

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

½ tsp Red Chilli Crushed

½ tsp Black Pepper Crushed

1 tbsp Fenugreek

1 tsp Cumin Powder

1 tsp Coriander Powder

2 pieces Cardamom

2 pieces Black Cardamom

2 pieces Cinnamon

6 pieces Black Pepper

½ cup Hot Water

Ginger, Coriander, and Green chilli for garnish

Directions:

  1. Marinate the fish with salt, ajwain, and vinegar, then refrigerate for 2-4 hours. Rinse with water afterwards.
  2. In a cooking pot, heat cooking oil and fry onion and whole hot spices until light brown.
  3. Add cumin, green chilli, and ginger-garlic paste, cooking for a while.
  4. Incorporate tomato puree, yogurt, salt, red chilli powder, red chilli crushed, black pepper crushed, cumin powder, fenugreek, and coriander powder.
  5. Add the marinated fish and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in water and steam for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with ginger, green coriander, and green chilli.
  8. Your delectable fish curry is now ready to be served and savoured.
