Tania Aidrus Likely to Lead Pakistan’s Digital Initiatives: Report

ISLAMABAD: Tania Aidrus, a former Google executive, has once again become part of the federal government’s digitisation project, local media reported. Aidrus has now been named as the convener of the Digital Pakistan committee. The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication said that this committee is overseen by the State Minister for Information Technology.

According to the local media reports, the committee’s mandate includes compiling recommendations for digitization infrastructure across various sectors, aligning with contemporary technologies, and ensuring transparency in governmental processes.

Tania Aidrus holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a BSc from Brandeis University. Before her involvement with the federal government, she served as an executive at Google. Before that, she co-founded ClickDiagnostics, a mobile health diagnosis company aimed at connecting rural patients in emerging markets with doctors worldwide.
