MULTAN: A devastating incident unfolded in Mohalla Jawadian near Haram Gate, Multan, as the roof of a three-storey building collapsed, claiming nine lives and leaving two individuals critically injured. The catastrophe occurred in the early hours, prompting an urgent response from Rescue 1122 teams. Upon arrival, rescuers swiftly initiated operations to extract victims from the rubble.
Initial assessments revealed that seven members of a single family residing in the adjacent home were among the deceased. Additionally, the owners of the collapsed building were tragically counted among the casualties. Two individuals sustained severe injuries and were promptly transported to Nishtar Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The victims, including Danish (15), Faheem Abbas (40), Ameer Ali (12), Waseem (14), Sanoobar (40), Bukhtawar Ameen (18), and Komal (13), succumbed to the tragic incident. Meanwhile, Waqar and Mussarat Bibi are currently receiving medical care for their injuries.
