UAE Jiu-Jitsu Team Aims for Fourth Consecutive Asia Title

ABU DHABI: The adult UAE Jiu-Jitsu national teams are gearing up for the eighth Jiu-Jitsu Asian Championships at Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Arena from May 3 to 8, aiming for their fourth consecutive title. With over 1,500 athletes from 30 countries, the competition promises intense battles.

Adults compete from May 3 to 5, while the Asian Youth Championship debuts from May 6 to 8. Following their victory in Bangkok last year, the UAE team is eager to defend their crown. The youth team seeks their inaugural title, buoyed by their success at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Kazakhstan.

Supported by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and their passionate fans, both teams are poised for success. Coaches express confidence in their athletes’ dedication and preparation, foreseeing another triumphant outing. Athletes like Khaled Al-Baloushi, a brown belt holder after 13 years of training, embrace the challenge, determined to excel and honor their nation.
