NEW YORK: WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for iOS users, facilitating quicker access to the photo library directly within the app.

The latest update, version 24.7.75, brings forth notable improvements alongside various enhancements aimed at optimizing user interaction within the messaging platform. Among these enhancements is a newly introduced shortcut that simplifies the process of sharing photos for iPhone users.

With this update, users need not navigate through multiple steps to access their photo library. Instead, a simple long-press on the attach button within the chat interface swiftly opens the photo library, eliminating the need for additional taps and clicks.

Previously, users were required to tap the attachment button and then select “Photo & Video” to choose an image. However, with the implementation of this feature, WhatsApp aims to expedite the sharing process, making it more intuitive and efficient for its vast user base.

The update is now available for download on the App Store, and users are encouraged to ensure their WhatsApp application is up-to-date to benefit from the latest features and enhancements. However, as updates are rolled out gradually, some users may not immediately receive access to the new shortcut.

WhatsApp reassures users that the rollout will continue over the coming weeks, ensuring widespread accessibility to the updated functionality. Therefore, users are advised to stay proactive in updating their WhatsApp application to leverage the full spectrum of features and improvements offered by the platform.
