Turkish Ambassador Calls on Chief Minister Punjab

LAHORE: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Mehmet Pacaci on Monday called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PML-N supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Monday.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and an increase in cooperation in different fields came under discussion.

PML-N supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said the people of Pakistan and Turkiye were bound to each other in the relationship of Islamic brotherhood.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan and Turkiye want to increase cooperation in economic, commercial, and other fields, adding that increasing trade volume between the two countries was the need of the hour.

She said that there were vast investment opportunities in Punjab in tourism, solar energy, housing, health, education, vocational training and other sectors.

The chief minister underlined the very favorable investment ecosystem in Punjab, along with the incentives being provided to encourage investment in the province.

She added that Turkish investors should take advantage of these investment opportunities

The government will provide Turkish investors all kinds of facilities in this regard, because it wanted to benefit from the experience and expertise of Turkiye’s rapid development, she said.

Turkish Ambassador Highlights Bilateral Relations

The Turkish envoy said that Pakistan and Turkiye had historical brotherly ties, adding that cooperation between the two nations was exemplary.

He assured increased cooperation with the Punjab government in different fields, saying that steps would be taken at a fast pace to further promote ties with Punjab.

In the meeting, potential agreements were also discussed.
