DUBAI: In a significant stride toward expanding the reach of Saudi football, 26 prominent broadcasters and streaming platforms have secured exclusive rights to broadcast the upcoming season of the Saudi Pro League in different regions around the world.

The 2023-24 season is poised to commence this Friday, unveiling a captivating journey for football enthusiasts.

Among the list of broadcasters, live sports streaming giant DAZN stands out as a key player. With exclusive rights secured for the UK, DAZN is set to stream a selection of three matches per week, providing fans with an immersive football experience. The debut broadcast will feature the season opener between Al-Ahli Saudi and Al-Hazm, both of whom are making their mark in the top flight after promotion.

Adding to the diverse mix of broadcasters is the YouTube channel Canal Goat, which has secured the rights to broadcast the games in Brazil. Furthermore, the free-to-air channel LA7, under the ownership of Cairo Communication, will bring the excitement of Saudi Pro League games to Italian viewers with a commitment to showcase a premier match every week. These developments were revealed by a credible source familiar with the matter.

The broadcasting landscape in Asia is also set for an invigorating shift. SPOTV, having signed a two-year deal, will broadcast three live matches each week in various territories across Asia, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, and Malaysia. This strategic move aims to strengthen the league’s foothold in the region and expand its global footprint.

In the Middle East, Saudi Pro League games will be accessible to viewers through MBC’s Shahid platform and the channels operated by the Saudi Sports Company. These platforms will contribute to cultivating a vibrant football culture within the region, fostering unity and excitement among fans.
